"Whenever migration is discussed, it is usually linked to negativity": regional coordinator of 'Hola América' on the current challenges of immigration

In an interview with NTN24, Marianny Pacheco spoke about the 'Hola América' initiative and the challenges faced by people who migrate from their home countries to others.
The 'Hola América' initiative aims to strengthen social innovation for migration and refuge in Latin America. The project seeks to help migrants and people in transit find opportunities, as well as to overcome the challenges they face.
“Whenever migration is discussed, it is usually linked to negativity… Migrants are rarely spoken of from a positive perspective,” Pacheco pointed out regarding the challenges faced by those who migrate, not only in the region but in any region of the world.
On the other hand, the regional coordinator of Hola América noted that, among the challenges, the issue faces in the region are migration regularization, access to information, stigmatization, xenophobia, and the socioeconomic inclusion of migrants.
