Alter-Eco

Alter Eco is a cooperative home services platform that seeks to transform the way migrants and refugees access decent work opportunities.

Through a model that combines technology, social economy and community support, the initiative connects households that require care, cleaning, cooking, educational support and other services with migrants who want to generate income in fairer, safer and more transparent conditions.

The problem | The opportunity

The project stems from the conviction that human mobility represents an opportunity to build more inclusive and resilient societies. Therefore, Alter Eco seeks not only to facilitate the hiring of services, but also to promote the gradual formalization of work, strengthen the economic autonomy of migrants, and foster relationships of trust between workers, families, and institutions.
